Hunt Class

Just finished painting a group of 3 Hunt class destroyers from GHQ's 1:2400 naval range. Again completed in the Northern Approaches camo scheme. Great casting and nice little models. The masts are a bit fragile and I suspect will snap off. If I were to paint any of these again I think I would change out the soft metal mast for some brass rod or something.

I'm not really pleased with how the bases look on these though, they just didn't turn out quite right, I think the white caps are too big and a bit "sploggy". But they still look okay at gaming distance.

Group shot of the flower class ships I painted the other week, all now based. My intention is to add a label along the bottom edge noting country, ship type and name.

  2. Looking good at gaming distance is sometimes all that is needed especially for minis at such a small scale. :)
