The Vikings are coming!

When I came in from work this evening there was a package from Artizan Miniatures waiting for me. I was pleased to find my order for some WW2 Commandos and a small pack of Vikings which I had ordered.

Now I know very little about the Vikings and there background, but I liked the models and thought they would make a nice change of pace painting wise. The above pillager is the first Viking model I have painted and I'm pleased with the results, I think I will quite enjoy raising a small raiding party!

Oh I should add I am yet to paint and attach this chaps shield so for the moment he looks like he's grasping thin air!
