This surprised me as there's a lot more snow in Bavaria than Scotland so I did a strange thing and read the manual. Winter tyres are recommended from October to March. I changed to those and have had no problems in the last three winters. It may be worth trying.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701536573427559282.post-18062197133286506242012-08-27T13:57:59.242-07:002012-08-27T13:57:59.242-07:00Might just have to try that, anything to keep it o...Might just have to try that, anything to keep it on the road! Didn't work with my cls though it sat in the drive for a month two years ago in the great Scottish winter!!!!
Enjoy!!Willie Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06061421971813106397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701536573427559282.post-65233731386507163612012-08-27T02:48:42.229-07:002012-08-27T02:48:42.229-07:00Cheers chaps, I've driven the lower range vect...Cheers chaps, I've driven the lower range vectra's before and you do have to thrash the pants off of them to get them going. Re snow, I'm aware its likely to be a pain (even more so given I live in rural scotland) I expect to have to ask my dad a lot for towing! :)Smilliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00716663716859070170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701536573427559282.post-86888420629897062842012-08-27T00:57:25.440-07:002012-08-27T00:57:25.440-07:00I had a Vectra for three years with my last job, m...I had a Vectra for three years with my last job, mine was diesel butstill had a nice pace to it. Very happy with it and best car I have had over all but here is a warning, they are the worst cars I have EVER driven in snow or heavy ice, no traction at all and the only car I have ever had to leave at the side of the road (did it three times!)Had two Insignias on hire, first (when just came out) was the SRi top of the range and it did everything for me and I hated it. Just had one for a holiday and it was very nice but drove it only a bit so not sure how to rate it against the Vectra. Great cars that go on and on. In three years and over 100,000 miles it needed work just once for a fault that all that model had (exhaust jet blown)
enjoy it
IanIanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17113835961977211021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701536573427559282.post-9285066267464296582012-08-26T18:35:51.615-07:002012-08-26T18:35:51.615-07:00You are stylin', Smillie!!You are stylin', Smillie!!Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12601444762722458674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8701536573427559282.post-17658568114754704082012-08-26T16:33:00.437-07:002012-08-26T16:33:00.437-07:00Nice car Mr Smillie and you should indulge your pa...Nice car Mr Smillie and you should indulge your passions on your blog, thats what they are there for.
